Advocacy with Policymakers

CBGA's engagement with the executive has been sustained and growing; the organisation has tried continuously to inform the policymakers about the gaps in policies, budgets and implementation and the possible measures to address the same. The interactions with the policymakers have been through various channels – which include meetings with them (e.g. with officials from various Central Govt. Ministries and some of the State Governments), providing them specific research inputs (e.g. to the Central Ministries of Women and Child Development and Panchayati Raj, Govt. of West Bengal, and Planning Commission), organising consultations in collaboration with them (e.g. with the Central Ministry of Women and Child Development, and Planning Commission), and also being a part of their staff training efforts as resource persons on budgetary issues.
