Union Ministry of Finance constitutes a committee to review and give recommendations on the FRBM roadmap for future

The Government has constituted a committee to review and recommend a roadmap for FRBM Act for the future. It is chaired by Shri N. K. Singh, former Revenue and Expenditure Secretary, with Shri Sumit Bose, Shri Arvind Subramanian, Shri Urijit Patel and Shri Rathin Roy as members. The Terms of Reference (ToRs) include determination of the FRBM targets, need of having 'fiscal deficit range' in place of existing numbers, assessment of general government deficit and FRBM parameters etc. The report is to be submitted to the government by October 31, 2016.
