This research paper intends to map the various interventions by relevant ministries/departments at the Union Government level under the low carbon framework, for tracking budgetary and policy priorities for low carbon transport in the context of climate change. Study tracks the Union Budgets for schemes and policies for last seven years that is, the post to National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC), 2008 and attempts to make policy recommendations for Low Carbon Strategies for Transport Sector.
