Sona Mitra

Senior Research Consultant

Sona has been working and publishing on Gender and Development issues, focusing especially on the issues of women and work. Her research work in CBGA focuses on financing of social sectors and Centre-State fiscal relations.

Prior to joining CBGA, she was a Research Consultant at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) where she worked on issues related to fiscal decentralization and financing of human development. She has done M.A. and M. Phil in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
