Manual for Tracking Direct Nutrition Interventions’ Budgets Using Budget Tracking and Analysis Tool

  • 2017
  • Saumya Shrivastava and Chandrika Singh

The manual has been developed to build knowledge about ‘budgets for nutrition-specific interventions’ and the related concepts. The Manual is divided into six modules. It starts by introducing the concept of undernutrition and how it can be addressed. It then briefly discusses the budgeting process in India and introduces some basic concepts related to budgets. The manual is accompanied by a  Budget Tracking and Analysis Tool (BTAT), which is an excel-based tool to systematically track Direct Nutrition Interventions (DNIs) budgets in India. The last two modules of the Manual explain BTAT and how it can be used to track and analyse budgets for DNIs. BTAT can be applied to the Union, state and district level budgets.

BTAT can be accessed here.
